Half-way round the world, on a beach on Koh Tao in Thailand, we had the seed of an idea: “When we get home, we’re gonna take on that recession.” Fast forward to June 2009 and Boom! Koh Creative is formed. Bam! Our Pearse Street studio is finished. Bang! Clients are knocking down our door! Ten years ago we had just met in Waterford, studying Visual Communications together, and now it’s Aisling Hanby, Managing Director and Gemma Randles, Creative Director. In the in-between time we worked for the big design and marketing companies, honed our skills, mastered our trade but – we knew we wanted more. We had the ambition and the passion and we needed to step out on our own. So now, based out of Junction Studios in Dublin 2, we’ve got a personal approach, big ideas and a lovely team of 8, each more talented than the last. Trust us, we’re that breath of fresh air you’ve been looking for (and our breath is minty fresh).
